Dora Ficher is a Philadelphia artist inspired by color and texture. She relates autobiographical narratives in her work using abstract shapes, patterns, and vivid color recalling cherished memories of her native Argentina. She has created several compelling and vibrant encaustic series, delights in the uncertainty of encaustic monotypes, and enjoys doodling with pen and ink.
