The EU-funded CENTREPIECE project will accelerate Europe’s transition to competitive fuel cell mass production by industrialising high-throughput MEA manufacturing. It will scale next-generation catalyst-coated membranes and advanced printing and coating processes, supported by in-line quality control to improve yield, reduce scrap and lower material use. These innovations will be validated in a pilot line, enabling faster, more reliable and cost-effective MEA production.
